As the pandemic has gradually subsided, the world has reignited its passion for travel. We'd grown weary of the 'staycation.' A concept that, if we're truly honest, never quite hit the mark. We yearned to rediscover the vast wonders our world offers. While food shows became our solace when dining out was forbidden, a myriad of travel shows on channels like Discovery, National Geographic, and many others fueled our wanderlust.
One standout is the BBC's The Travel Show, which has, for years, delighted not only the UK audience but also global viewers through BBC's new iPlayer, with tales of travel adventures in breathtaking locales and encounters with compelling characters. At The Hong Kong Fixer, our passion for travel and cultural discoveries is at the core of our multicultural team. We relish producing travel shows, from Netflix's Restaurant on the Edge to France 4's Le Plein de Sensations and many more.
The prolonged restrictions brought by the virus meant a hiatus from hosting overseas crews. So, when the borders finally reopened, and Karen Chambers and India Latham, Producer Director for The Travel Show, reached out, we eagerly embraced the opportunity to craft moments of wonder. The shoot was truly remarkable! We scoured for numerous stories, and the ones selected are certainly must-watches. Moreover, we provided full support throughout the shoot.
Join host Christa Larwood as she guides viewers on a mesmerizing adventure through Hong Kong's lively streets, where age-old traditions harmoniously coexist with modernity. With her unwavering enthusiasm and inquisitiveness, she plunges into the city's vibrant culture, unveiling hidden treasures and intriguing tales along the way. She delves into local customs and traditions, connecting with engaging locals who share their narratives and wisdom.
Navigating the ever-evolving city, Christa spotlights the unique juxtaposition of the ancient and contemporary that embodies Hong Kong. With her vibrant energy and authentic curiosity, Christa invites viewers to accompany her on this exploration.
