Every so often, TV productions can transform into long lasting friendships. That is exactly what happened when we met Ryan Pyle, gentleman adventurer of BBC’s Extreme Treks, Tough Rides and many more exciting shows. Was it the nature of the show focusing on Hong Kong’s great outdoors? Was it the extreme professional and cool approach? Was it the chaos reigning in the streets of a Hong Kong struggling for freedom? Was is the whisky education by a true connoisseur?

Without question this production was unique, and challenges aside (finding sherpas NOT in Nepal, avoiding tear gas…), it was a pleasure and honour to support Ryan’s latest project Expedition Asia which recently aired on Discovery Channel and Amazon Prime. And what a treat the show is: Ryan takes us on a mountain adventure in the heart of what defines a metropolis, Hong Kong. Yes, that’s right, put aside the clichés and discover with Ryan the green and spectacular open spaces the MacLehose and Lantau trails offer to the ones who dare venture beyond shopping malls and city streets.

Feast for the eyes… and a bit of unexpected challenge for our confirmed mountaineer. On our side, for the opportunity to coordinate a TV show during a revolution, Merci beaucoup, Monsieur Pyle.
