Filming Zero Trust at Cathay Pacific
Looking for a partner for your remote video production in times of a global pandemic? If you are like Illumio, the Silicon Valley-based cybersecurity expert, specialising in the control of lateral movements threats, you will agree that trust is an essential component of a successful collaboration. Look no further than The Hong Kong Fixer to deliver just that.
Illumio wanted an authentic story of a client-advocate to let the world know about the strategic importance of having the right IT solution to protect critical systems. Few operations are more mission critical than keeping planes in the air and securing the data of millions of customers.
We were glad to help and deployed our Hong Kong team to Cathay City, the airline’s HQ to meet Kerry Peirse, Head of IT, to learn what the big deal is about the concept of Zero Trust and lateral movement threats. Wait, did we not talk about trust in partnerships just now? Turns out that buzzword du jour in cybersecurity is “zero trust”, which means that a system should not be trusted by default. Trust us for your zero trust could be the message here.
As for the remote part of the video production process, while we had a full documentary team on the ground, we helped the client’s creative director and team to be with us on set via video conference and monitor screen sharing. Talk about trust!
